Wayne Rooney is set to tell incoming Manchester United manager David Moyes that he wants to stay at the club as the striker prepares to hold talks with his new boss this week.

Wayne Rooney will meet David Moyes to discuss his Manchester United future. Chelsea and Arsenal are preparing bids for the striker should he still want to leave the Premier League champions.
Rooney will leave United unless new manager David Moyes backtracks on predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson's claim that the striker handed in a transfer request. If the England international does leave Old Trafford he will choose Chelsea ahead of Arsenal.
Chelsea are set to beat Manchester United to the signing of Vitesse Arnhem's midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
Manchester United have contacted Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski to ask to be kept aware of his availability, as doubts grow about him moving to Bayern Munich this summer. The Poland international is an alternative target if Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be convinced to return to Old Trafford.

Manchester City hope to complete a £21m deal for Malaga midfielder Isco in the next 48 hours. There were fears Real Madrid could hijack City's move for the player, who indicated on Thursday that a deal with the Blues could be tied up over the weekend.Full story: Daily Mail

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will speak to Juan Mata in an attempt to reassure the Spain midfielder that he wants to keep him at Stamford Bridge. Reports had claimed that Mourinho was keen to sell Mata, with Barcelona said to be interested.
The agent of Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has down played his client's chances of a move to Napoli and a reunion with former Reds boss Rafa Benitez.
Arsenal are putting the finishing touches on a £50m deal for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain and the club's billionaire shareholder Alisher Usmanov has also urged manager Arsene Wenger to make a move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

Napoli's former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is planning to move for the Reds' Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez as a replacement for Edinson Cavani.
Juventus are interested in signing Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov as well as striker Carlos Tevez who has already held talks with the Italian side.
Tevez is moving closer to a £10m move to Juve's Italian rivals AC Milan.
Hulk's agent has hinted the striker could leave Zenit St Petersburg this summer, with Chelsea, Paris St-Germain and Monaco all keen on the Brazilian.
Steve Bruce has agreed a £2.25m deal to take Birmingham defender Curtis Davies to Hull City. He is also interested in signing Leicester's goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Bruce is also offering striker Carlton Cole, 29, a Premier League lifeline following his release by West Ham.

Manchester United are favourites to sign Barcelona's Spanish midfielder Thiago Alacantara who would cost £15m. 
Barcelona are targeting a £30m deal for Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata following rumours that new Blues manager Jose Mourinho is unconvinced by the Spaniard.
Napoli striker Edinson Cavani will reject a move to Manchester City to join Real Madrid in a £55m deal. The Uruguay international has also been linked with Chelsea.

The Reds also expect to complete the £6m transfer of Sevilla attacking midfielder Luis Alberto, 20, by Thursday.

Liverpool will tell Luis Suarez he has to put in a transfer request if he is to leave the club.
Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to arrive at Anfield for a medical ahead of a £23m move to Liverpool this week.
Liverpool will fund that transfer with the sale of striker Andy Carroll to West Ham. The Reds have been forced to compromise over the fee for the England international to generate funds for Mkhitaryan.
Carroll will undergo a medical with the Upton Park club on Tuesday after agreeing a six-year £100,000-a-week deal to turn his loan switch from the Reds into a permanent move.
Arsenal are favourites to sign Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain after Juventus switched their attention to Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.
The Gunners are also interested in signing Spain Under-21 and Real Sociedad defensive midfielder Asier Illarramendi.
