Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has telephoned Anzhi Makhachkala owner Suleyman Kerimov to offer £32m for winger Willian in an attempt to prevent the Brazilian joining Tottenham.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is so angry about Chelsea's pursuit of Willian he is ready to cancel the £94m transfer of Wales forward Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

 Real Madrid are on the verge of completing a £94m deal to bring Tottenham's forward Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy discussed the deal on Wednesday night with the Spanish club.Full story: Daily Mail

Newcastle will try to get as much as £20m for midfielder Yohan Cabaye after rejecting a "derisory" bid of around £12m from Arsenal, who have also made a bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Gunners face competition to sign France international Cabaye as Paris St-Germain enter the race to sign the player with a £15m bid.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in Manchester City defender Micah Richards as the Gunners look to solve their injury crisis - and has still not given up on Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.
Arsenal are considering a £35m double bid for Swansea forward Michu and defender Ashley Williams.

Arsenal are believed to be looking at bringing in £25m-rated forward Michu from Swansea as deals for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Manchester United's centre-forward Wayne Rooney hit problems.
Uruguay international Suarez is expected to stay at Liverpool after Reds captain Steven Gerrard helped resolve the issues between the forward and the Anfield club's manager Brendan Rodgers.

Arsenal are to make a move for Manchester United's Wayne Rooney after the apparent failure of their pursuit of Liverpool's Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan has apologised to his Anfield team-mates for trying to leave the club.
