Results for 15th and 16th Sept

So after a 2 week break for international games the Premier League is back with some good games and some not so good.

Birmingham 1 - Bolton 0

Birmingham secured their 1st league home win with a goal from Kapo on 37 mins, Little Sam saw another defeat, completely different to their performance with Reading. Attendance:28,124

Chelsea 0 - Blackburn 0

Both side went at it well for the the 1st 45mins then in the second half the game got a little deflated by some dodgy calls by lines man and ref not allowing a cracking strike Kalou on the 57th min. Lines man called it as off side replays show different. Chelsea pushed Blackburn through the second half as a huge attack was mounted with shevchenko almost putting Chelsea ahead in the last 5 mnins but Friedel denied him at point blank range.
Attendance:41,062

Everton 0 - Man Utd 1

Early game on Saturday, 1st half saw plenty the 2 sides almost cancelling one another out. Ferdinand and Scholes both lost their teddy's Im amazed the scholes didn't get sent off for his ridiculous behaviour of throwing the ball away and Rio for back chatting to the Ref but both did end up being booked its always a let down to watch great footballers behaving like kids. Both sides only managed 1 attempt on target each
with Man Utd's attempt going in on the 83rd min from Vidic.
Attendance: 39,364

Portsmouth 0 - Liverpool 0

Liverpool travelled to the south coast for the is game looking for more points to stay at the top, alas this wasn't to be. Arbeloa gave away a penalty as he pulled Kanu's shirt in the penalty box. The Nigerian took the shot but Reina saved. Portsmouth had the most chances but unfortunately finished 0 - 0.
Attendance: 20,388

Sunderland 2 - Reading 1
A minute of applause was observed before the game in memory of Ian Porterfield their 1973 FA cup winning scorer.
The royals traveled up the M1 to challenge Sunderland. Sunderland went all out and didn't want to see another loss. Kenwyne Jones opened up after 29 mins as Reading Defense fell to pieces. As both teams came back out for the second half when Wallace put away a side footed goal to make it 2. The Royals just cannot get it together , Lita was to busy doing silly tricks instead of trying to hit the target, the whole game play from Reading was a shower with only a last minute consolation goal from Dave Kitson on 85 mins , next week the bus driver for Reading has been told to take his boots along with him.
Attendance: 39,272

Tottenham 1 - Arsenal 3
Martin Jol keen to do well today and his side was as they opened up as Gareth Bale scored after 15mins putting spurs ahead. They kept the lead all the way to half time with good game play. The hammers where not messing about today. Although it did take West Ham 45mins for Bowyer to score on 45min. West Ham made it 2 on 51 mins as cole curled a low shot deflecting off Luke Young being an own goal. Ashton then put away on 62nd min making it 3, goodnight boro.

Jason Koumas celebrated his 300th league appearance by scoring a penalty on the 80th min. But it was Fulham who had opened first with a goal from Dempsey on 11th min which was Fulhams 100th goal in the premier league.
Attendance: 16,973

Sunday 16th

Man City 1 - Aston Villa 0
Very entertaining game even though the the score wasn't really exciting. It was Johnson on 48th min who put City in front and villa just no matter how hard they tried couldn't get the equaliser.
