Liverpool have agreed an £8m fee for AZ Alkmaar's Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm.
Liverpool have also joined the list of clubs showing interest in Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud with manager Kenny Dalglish attending the French club's win at Toulouse on Friday. Arsenal are also believed to be keen on signing him.
The Anfield club will also have to find at least £12.5m if they are serious about signing FC Twente's Dutch international striker Luuk de Jong.
Everton will make re-signing South African playmaker Steven Pienaar a priority at the end of the Premier League season
Sir Alex Ferguson could recall Ji-Sung Park at the expense of Danny Welbeck as Manchester United look to contain City.
Manchester United winger Nani has revealed he has opened negotiations with the Old Trafford club about a new long-term contract.

Chelsea want Everton's midfield duo Marouane Fellaini and Ross Barkley. The Blues are prepared to pay £22m for Fellaini and £10m for Barkley who they would loan straight back to Everton.
Brazilian side Sao Paulo have set a £40m asking price for Manchester United and Chelsea transfer target Lucas Moura. The attacking midfielder, who is also wanted by Real Madrid, has a £65m buyout clause in his contract.
Manchester United are planning a £10m deal to sign Swansea's on-loan midfield star Gylfi Sigurdsson of Hoffenheim.
Chelsea's hopes of signing Gonzalo Higuain look to have improved after the players agent asked for discussions with Real Madrid about the striker's future.
Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is being tracked by Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea. Lewandowski has scored 20 goals and helped Borussia Dortmund to retain their Bundesliga title.
QPR will make an attempt to sign Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett if they avoid relegation from the Premier League. Hoilett has refused to sign a new contract at Rovers, who will demand £5m compensation.
Paris Saint-Germain have made Liverpool's forward Luis Suarez - plus Real Madrid pair Kaka and Gonzalo Higuain - their primary summer transfer targets.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez tops Tottenham's list of replacements if Harry Redknapp is appointed England manager at the end of the season.
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, who has one year left on his current deal, wants to stay at the club and will open talks at the end of the season.
Everton manager David Moyes believes his side have been the top team in the Premier League since January, with the Toffees losing only four of their last 18 league matches.

Champions League finalists Chelsea are closing in on a £35m deal for Hulk after the Porto striker's agent admitted he is in talks with four Premier League clubs.
Arsenal have taken significant steps towards a summer move for Athletic Bilbao's Javi Martinez but face a £32m fight with Manchester Untied and Barcelona to land the versatile Spanish international.

Liverpool have lodged a £16m bid for Bologna's midfielder Gaston Ramirez, according to reports in Italy.
Tottenham and Newcastle are weighing up a move for Javi Marquez after the Espanyol midfielder turned down a new deal at the club, paving the way for a summer exit.
Tottenham are also lining up a move for Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel as a long-term replacement for Brad Friedel.

Chelsea are ready to make a £35m move for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain. Real could be willing to do business because coach Jose Mourinho wants Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero at the Bernabeu next season.
Manchester City plan to snatch Lille star Eden Hazard from under Manchester United's nose.
Owen Hargreaves will not be offered a new deal by Manchester City at the end of the season, a decision that casts doubt over the midfielder's long-term future in the game in light of the injuries that have disrupted his career.
Arsenal are reported to be in "advanced negotiations" with French club Rennes over the signature of midfielder Yann M'Vila, the player could cost around £22m.

Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba has been invited to the FA Cup final as a VIP guest following his remarkable recovery from an on-pitch cardiac arrest. Muamba collapsed during the Trotters' FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham in March and was "dead for 78 minutes" but is now out of hospital.

Derby rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are set to slug it out in the transfer market this summer in a £75m tug-of-war. Both sides are interested in Napoli striker Edinson Cavani Athletic Bilbao's forward Fernando Llorente and Lille midfielder Eden Hazard.
Blackburn's out-of-favour defender Michel Salgado fancies joining former Real Madrid team-mate David Beckham at LA Galaxy.
Wigan have beaten Newcastle and Sunderland to the signature of Swedish-born winger Alieu Darbo.
Manchester City are tracking highly rated teenage defender Lisandro Magallan, according to reports in his native Argentina. The player is rated as one of the brightest prospects in the country after establishing himself in the Gimnasia La Plata first team.
Manchester United are set to battle it out with Real Madrid to sign Brazil's next young superstar - Sao Paulo's attacking midfielder Lucas - in a £12m deal.
