Valon Behrami's first goal for West Ham was enough to give them a much-needed victory over a below-par Sunderland.

Behrami's shot took a deflection off Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones to beat stranded keeper Marton Fulop.

Michael Owen shot wide for the Magpies but Emmanuel Eboue's clever backheel left Van Persie to slide in and score.

An Amr Zaki brace ensured Wigan picked up their first points of the season as they cruised to victory away at Hull.

The 25-year-old Egyptian stroked home Antonio Valencia's cross for the third and fired in a thunderous drive that cannoned off the bar and over the line.

Wigan went in front as Kevin Kilbane's in-swinging corner was turned into his own net by Sam Ricketts, while Valencia raced clear to double their advantage.

Bentley look set to join Spurs

Bentley could be on his way to White Hart Lane by Wednesday morning. This has come after a volley of negotiations and Spurs letting Robinson go to grease the wheels to let Bentley leave.
well good luck to them, I personally feel that Bentley has a load to learn and how in the name of god Alan Hanson and Lorro compared him to Beckham on Match of the day last season I'll never know. Okay he's not bad but no way has the consistency that Beckham once had
