Confirmation of Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky's move to Liverpool appears close after the defender was spotted at Anfield ahead of the Reds' match against West Brom.

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson will make a last-ditch attempt to sign West Ham striker Carlton Cole. Hodgson is also close to sealing deals for Fulham defender Paul Konchesky, but may drop his interest in PSV Eindhoven forward Ola Toivonen because of the Dutch club's £13m asking price.
