Arsenal will not sell Carlos Vela this summer, according to the Mexico international's agent. The 22-year-old was expected to be one of several players allowed to leave as Arsene Wenger revamped his squad following another campaign which promised so much but failed to deliver.

Blackburn defender Christopher Samba has cast doubt over his  future at Ewood Park by claiming he would leap at the chance to leave if  a "good opportunity" arose. Samba also suggested that Rovers are  talking to clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle could be without influential midfielder  Stuart Holden until October. The United States international missed the  last two months of last season with a serious knee injury, which  required surgery. AC Milan vice-president Adriano  Galliani has ruled out a move for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba over the  summer. "We are covered in attack and hence, Drogba will not arrive,"  said Galliani. (Corriere dello Sport)
