Los Angeles Galaxy will try to reunite Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and his former England colleague David Beckham in January.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is planning moves for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge.
Liverpool are also rumoured to be monitoring Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby, whose father is from Merseyside, though supports Everton.
