Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been given the go ahead to move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis says the club can afford the England international.
French side Monaco - who have already spent over £100m on new players this summer - are ready to make a move for Chelsea captain John Terry. Monaco believe a figure of around £7m will be enough to tempt the Blues to part with the player.Full story: Metro
New Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho - who left out a host of senior players at Real Madrid this season - has warned Terry that no players will be guaranteed a place in the team this season.
