Alan Curbishley has quit West Ham. The transfer window was the last straw having lost Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney both players Curbishley didn't want to go.
Im not a West Ham supporter but I admired Curbishley as he really turned the team around but these good managers all have one common enemy the Directors of football.
Once again the idiots that are appointed that call themselves "Directors of football" screw every thing up and don't care about the after effect just how much money it'll make and to hell with the consequence, just look at Nicky Hammond and what he did to Reading, that one fool was responsible for holding the purse strings back to impress John Madjeski so Hammond could get his huge bonus for money saving (Im not lying) and then they end up getting relegated but Hammond was happy and still employed and got a huge bonus for and that's what these money men want. They don't give a toss about football just how quick they can line their pockets and Im talking a lot of money. Even Dennis Wise is at it, as Kevin Keegan has been restricted by this stupid role of the Director of Football that has become more and more trendy but it is a cancer in the Premier League thing
Well to hell with the Directors, the manager has the best knowledge of the team and he should be able to work with the chairman direct knowing what purse he has to spend and not go begging cap in hand to some idiot who is holding the money back for the chairman so they all get a massive bonus.
Lets see the end of the Directors of Football it has no place in the game and its destroying everything.
If the F.A. had any balls they would ban them.
